Whitlee is now almost 6 months old, can you believe that!?! It does NOT seem like it has been 6 months since she first came into our lives.
A few months ago we were able to bless her. My mom made her dress and it turned out perfect.Dave helped me pick out her feather headband, and i have to say, he did a fantastic job. Whitlee looked perfect, she was beautiful.
The blessing itself was wonderful. Dave did perfect, though he says he wished he could do it over. I think it was exactly what she needed. We were blessed to have so many of our friends and family there to support us. It was such a special day. One that we will definitely remember.
We were also lucky enough to take a quick trip, Dave and his dad flew to Cleveland and Whitlee, my friend Megan and I were able to fly out to California. I had never traveled with an infant before so I knew going into it, that it would be harder than normal. All i can say is, thank heavens Megan was there to help me. Security took longer, i had to pull her out of the carseat and then send everything through security then i had to put everything back together throw her back in it and get to our gate, only getting to our gate took a turn as well. Whitlee pooped, EVERYWHERE. i pulled her out of the carseat and it was all up her back so of coarse i run her over to the restroom and start to clean her up. when i realize. i don't have a change of clothes for her. How did i forget that!?! i remembered everything EXCEPT an emergency change of clothes. What was i thinking!?! Luckily i did have a jacket for her so i zipped that up with no shirt and threw on her pants…that magically came out clean. After we got on the plane the rest went smoothly. Whitlee was the best traveler i know, she didn't cry once. She napped and looked out the window and before we knew it we had arrived.
California was awesome, it was so good to see my family and to see my sisters new home. It was warm enough there that we got to swim and relax. The only thing i would have changed is if i could have, I would have stayed longer.
I know this post has been long, but thats what happens when its been a long time.
Halloween this year was better than ever, i could not wait to dress Whitlee up. Dave decided to be an old man and Whitlee and I were his kitties. I know my opinion is bias, but she might just be the cutest kitty i have ever seen.
We were lucky enough to hang out with 5 of our closest friends that night, first we stopped by Carla, Wayne and cute little Milas home. It was fun to see the girls together, they will be best friends! After that, we picked up my friend Megan Bishop and then we went to the home of Megan and Cam Harris. My parents were willing to watch Whitlee, since it was her bedtime, while the rest of us hung out and enjoyed our Halloween the best way we know how, by scaring people. It is so nice to have my friends home again! We sure missed them last year.
Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is right around the corner, i can't wait for this holiday season. I have a feeling it will be one to remember.
