A blessing, our first trip and Halloween

3 months…it has been 3 months since my last post.  So many things have happened in that time, i don't even know where to start.
Whitlee is now almost 6 months old, can you believe that!?! It does NOT seem like it has been 6 months since she first came into our lives.
A few months ago we were able to bless her. My mom made her dress and it turned out perfect.Dave helped me pick out her feather headband, and i have to say, he did a fantastic job. Whitlee looked perfect, she was beautiful.

The blessing itself was wonderful. Dave did perfect, though he says he wished he could do it over. I think it was exactly what she needed. We were blessed to have so many of our friends and family there to support us. It was such a special day. One that we will definitely remember.

We were also lucky enough to take a quick trip, Dave and his dad flew to Cleveland and Whitlee, my friend Megan and I were able to fly out to California. I had never traveled with an infant before so I knew going into it, that it would be harder than normal. All i can say is, thank heavens Megan was there to help me. Security took longer, i had to pull her out of the carseat and then send everything through security then i had to put everything back together throw her back in it and get to our gate, only getting to our gate took a turn as well. Whitlee pooped, EVERYWHERE. i pulled her out of the carseat and it was all up her back so of coarse i run her over to the restroom and start to clean her up. when i realize. i don't have a change of clothes for her. How did i forget that!?! i remembered everything EXCEPT an emergency change of clothes. What was i thinking!?! Luckily i did have a jacket for her so i zipped that up with no shirt and threw on her pants…that magically came out clean. After we got on the plane the rest went smoothly. Whitlee was the best traveler i know, she didn't cry once. She napped and looked out the window and before we knew it we had arrived.
California was awesome, it was so good to see my family and to see my sisters new home. It was warm enough there that we got to swim and relax. The only thing i would have changed is if i could have, I would have stayed longer.

I know this post has been long, but thats what happens when its been a long time.

Halloween this year was better than ever, i could not wait to dress Whitlee up. Dave decided to be an old man and Whitlee and I  were his kitties. I know my opinion is bias, but she might just be the cutest kitty i have ever seen.

We were lucky enough to hang out with 5 of our closest friends that night, first we stopped by Carla, Wayne and cute little Milas home. It was fun to see the girls together, they will be best friends! After that, we picked up my friend Megan Bishop and then we went to the home of Megan and Cam Harris. My parents were willing to watch Whitlee, since it was her bedtime, while the rest of us hung out and enjoyed our Halloween the best way we know how, by scaring people. It is so nice to have my friends home again! We sure missed them last year.

Thanksgiving is next week and Christmas is right around the corner, i can't wait for this holiday season. I have a feeling it will be one to remember.

3 Months Old Already

Time is just flying by so fast. Whitlee is 3 months old and i swear has grown twice the size she was a month ago. I now look at her and think, "She doesn't look like a newborn anymore," my baby is growing up! It has been such a fun month, she is learning new things everyday and getting stronger every second. She is now starting to love just hanging out, which is super nice.....because now i can actually get some things done!

Some of the things Whitlee loves:

  • Still loves taking baths...she now loves splashing in them as well
  • Watching what everyone is doing
  • Staring at herself in the mirror
  • Kicking her little legs
  • She loves when you talk to her and she can talk back
  • Bedtime!
  • Her swing
  • Being surrounded by her blankies
A few things Miss Whitlee does NOT love so much:
  • Long drives
  • Being strapped in her carseat for too long
  • Poopy diapers
  • Being too hot
  • Not being able to see whats going on
  • Getting woken up
Everyday i love this little one more and more...i cant believe i have such an amazing little angel in my life. We really are blessed and so incredibly lucky to have her.

How could you NOT love this baby?

This is how she likes to sleep...surrounded by blankets

2 Months Old

My baby is 2 months old already! It's so strange because it feels like we have had her forever and yet it also seems like it was just yesterday that we were in the hospital and meeting her for the first time. Whitlee is the best thing that ever happened to us, we love her more than anything. I feel like she is the most beautiful baby ever, and i know im her mom so i have to think that but i really do think shes just PERFECT! She has eyelashes for days and the cutest little button nose ♥.

A Little Bit About Our Whitlee Right Now:

♥ She is starting to interact more and smile when you talk to her
♥ She has a little attitude already
♥ She LOVES bath time...she gets one every night around 9 o'clock
♥ She likes to talk to us and hear her own voice
♥ She loves to cuddle
♥ She has a great appetite, mom cant quite keep up
♥ She loves to kick her little legs around
♥ She likes to have her hands up by her face
♥ She refuses to sleep on her back and turns to her side instantly
♥ She is starting to sleep through the night (we are all loving that)

I just love being a mom and love watching her grow....she really is such a good baby. I dont know how we got so lucky.

We love our Whitlee!

Introducing Miss Whitlee Jordan

Well here i am again 6 months later and just barely writing another post. What can i say? Im only human!

7 WEEKS ago we welcomed our beautiful baby girl into this world.....and i must say.....
we are IN LOVE!

Whitlee Jordan Schwitzer
7lbs 4oz and 20.5in
born May 24th at 7:20 PM

She...is...PERFECT!

We had Whitlee at Orem Community Hospital. I was checked in at 12:15 PM and Whitlee was here 7 hours later. Everything went very smoothly. We had so much support from our family and friends, we felt so loved. We were also blessed with the most amazing nurses. We loved each them and appreciate all that they did for us.

Whitlee is now starting to stay awake  more during the day and her personality is really starting to come out now. She has started to smile a lot and we even get to hear little giggles from time to time. She LOVES bath time....we give her one every night before bed. Daddy just adores her and cant get enough. He still struggles hearing her cry....it makes him really sad...but we are lucky and don't have to hear it too often. She has been such an easy baby so far. She cries when shes hungry and that's about it. Little Whitlee is now sleeping from 10 PM to 4 AM then she eats and goes right back to sleep. We have been super lucky and have been getting a good amount of sleep. Since im not able to stay at home with her during the week she gets to spend time with her Grammy(Grandma Gonzalez) and her Mimi (Grandma Schwitzer).
Sammi and Koda are doing so well with their new little sister...a lot better than i was expecting. Sammi tries to cuddle with her and is still learning how to lay next to her instead of on top of her. Koda has become a lot more protective and has been super gentle with her. They both love to lick her toes, we just have to keep an eye on them...sometimes they get carried away and start drowning her in slobber hahhaha.

Everyday is a new adventure and we cant believe how quickly shes growing. We love her so much and are blessed to have her in our lives. Its only been 7 weeks and yet we cant remember what it was like without her....we love this crazy change...

We LOVE our baby cakes!

Goodbye 2012....HELLO 2013!!!!

I am fully aware that its been a good year since i blogged last, im only human and things have been super busy. I know im failing at blogging but hopefully this year ill improve......thats my goal at least.

2012 was such a fun and exciting year. It brought a lot of milestones in our lives...for starters, we bought our first home. Its been a process but its finally come together and we love that we now have a place to call home. We also reached our one year anniversary in May. Yahoo! One year down, eternity to go.  In August we found out that we are expecting OUR FIRST BABY. We had been trying for a few months but for some reason when you finally see those two blue lines on the stick it still comes as a shock.

We honestly couldnt be more excited to start this new adventure in our lives. This will be the first grandbaby for Dave's parents....which only makes this more exciting.
My mom happens to be a labor and delivery nurse at Orem Community Hospital so we decided that we want to have our baby there. With her being a nurse we have the opportunity to see our little nugget basically anytime we feel like it. So when 16 weeks rolled around we went in to see if we could guess the gender. Well we guessed wrong.....little turkey crossed its legs the whole time so we couldnt get a great shot. I guess thats why people wait till at least 18 weeks :)
We are having a sweet baby girl and her name will be
Whitlee Jordan Schwitzer.

Luckily my pregnancy has been pretty easy so far. I was nauseous the first little while but i never threw up which i will happily take any day. I do struggle eating meat still but other than that nothing has bothered me too much. Sleeping has become more difficult because im so used to sleeping on my belly and i cant do that anymore.  I feel blessed that everything has gone so smoothly so far.

I am now 23 WEEKS along....only 17 to go! It feels SOO nice to finally say i am over half way and that the baby will be here before i know it. Dave has now started talking to her every morning and every night. I can't even tell you how awesome it is to see the excitement in his eyes....makes me love him more each day. Hes going to be the BEST DADDY. Her kicks are slowly getting stronger and Dave is now able to feel her.
He loves that. I Love that.

I'm sure this year will be scary but so exciting and i don't know that we are fully prepared for it but i think thats just part of life....so bring it on 2013....let's make it better than ever!

HOME: Where our story Begins

Its crazy to think that Dave and I have already been married for 8 months, even though that may seem like a short time for some of you, it seems like just yesterday we said, "I DO!"  Its been a busy, fun, stressful yet HAPPY 8  months for us and we are now starting another chapter in our lives together. We are building a HOME.

Dave's parents, Carl & Marie purchased a small home in Springville a little while ago, and their plan all along was to fix it up and sell it to us as our first home. So Dave and I went to see the home we would soon be buying and i have to be honest, when I first saw it....I was a little nervous. It was pretty beat up...the tile floors shifted from underneath our feet and everything looked as though it was from the 1950's. However, we were told it would look nothing like we saw it and that...that was very much the truth.

This my friends was what it started out looking like....
and this is where we are at today.
Its been really fun going through all the planning. From picking out the floor plan of the addition to picking out the color of siding. This is my first experience with all of this and normally i would have never thought it to be fun but it really has. Dave is currently doing all the electrical wiring for it and has done such an amazing job!  I am so lucky to have such a talented man for a husband!  He is working so hard to make our home as perfect for me as he can.  I can't wait till its actually finished and i can really start decorating!  We're hoping' to have it finished by March, which is coming up so fast.  Dave and I couldnt be more excited to start this new adventure and to have a place we can honestly call *.:HOME:.*

There is still a lot of work to be done so i will keep you posted on the new stuff that's happening in the next couple of months.  Like always its crazy around here...but we wouldn't have it any other way!!

Our winter, that doesnt seem like winter........

Oh my goodness i am the worlds WORST blogger, BUT, i am here now and that's what matters most....right???

This winter has been a busy one for us  SCHWITZERS this year, we celebrated our very 1st Christmas as a married couple and New Years as well. We also got in 2 accidents, Dave started working on the new house, I chopped my hair off, and we have been surrounded by friends and family for the holidays.

This winter has also been kind of different, not only was it our first together, but we have had no snow. What the heck? No snow in Utah? That's is just not normal. I wont lie, i haven't missed digging my car out of the snow, or scraping my windows of frost, or having my dogs come in from going potty and have their feet all muddy. I do however miss how beautiful it is outside when everything is white, and i missed waking up to a winter wonderland Christmas morning. And i KNOW, Dave really misses it, he loves everything about the snow and so for him...i hope it snows soon. But just once :)

Things have been so crazy for us lately, for starters....i totaled my cute little SUZUKI FORENZA.  That was not very fun for us. Not only were we out a car for awhile but we then had to deal with finding something else and insurance company junk. BUT, we were able to find a cute little RAV4 that is prefect for us and our pups. Then about 2 weeks ago Dave got rear ended...WOW...lucky us! At that point we just had to find humor in our wonderful luck.

The holiday season this year was definitely an amazing one. We celebrated 3 big things this year....my birthday (DEC. 20th), Christmas & new years. Poor Dave had double to buy for all at one time. We did so good though and bought me a brand new camera that i love so much.....and a WII! He also treated me to Tucanos for my 22nd birthday and to my surprise my best friend Megan Harris flew in from Cali early to be there for it. We also had our good friends Carla & Wayne Sleight join the fun. I couldn't have asked for a better night.  For Christmas my sister and her family came to town. That is my favorite part of the holiday.  It becomes a bit overwhelming sometimes with 8 million people crammed into my parents home but i wouldn't have it any other way! Dave and I couldnt ask for better people in our lives.

Thank you all for making the holiday season so special for us. We love you all and wish you the best this upcoming year!
